Lunch and snacks: Children need to bring lunch, 2 snacks, drinks and a labeled water bottle.  Please label your child’s lunch. Peanut products are prohibited. We handle food allergies in the safest manner possible. The staff inspects lunches and snacks to make sure that all of the children are safe.

Shoes: Children must wear running shoes to join in gym activities and outdoor games.   If they are wearing sandals or crocs, they will not be able to participate.

A medication form must be completed and all medication with the exception of epipens, must be locked up per storage instructions. Children must wear their epipens. Parents/guardians are required to complete a form outlining the procedures to follow for an anaphylactic emergency. Please allow time for this the first day of camp.

Emergency Evacuation Site: In the event of a school evacuation, the children will be taken to the Kingsway-Lambton United Church at the corner of Prince Edward Drive and The Kingsway.

Behaviour Management: Our goal is to provide a safe, orderly and enjoyable program for all of the children. The discipline practices which we employ are diversion, quiet time, loss of privileges. If a child’s behaviour at camp or on a field trip represents a safety concern to himself or other children, parents may be requested to pick him/her up.

Illness: Children who are ill are not allowed to come to or remain at day camp. Please ensure that we have current phone numbers in case we need to contact you.

Valuables: Children should not bring any valuable possessions (such as electronic devices or jewellery) to the program or on field trips.  The Program will not be responsible for lost or damaged personal property.

Recreational Swimming/Life Jackets: Recreational swimming is scheduled during public swim at the Lambton Kingsway outdoor pool.  Children 6 years and under, regardless of swim ability are not allowed to take the facility swim test while with a camp group, per City of Toronto guidelines. All children 7 years and under will be required to wear a CSA approved lifejacket unless they pass the facility swim test each day.  Campers will be required to supply their own life jackets.  Please ensure that your child’s name is on the life jacket.

Field Trip Tips:
➢ The children carry their own knapsacks. Please make them as lightweight as possible.
➢ Please be on time. If your child has not arrived by the departure time, you will be contacted to confirm
absence and we will assume they are not coming.
➢ The children will wear camp shirts which they will change into before we leave. They will change back
into their own clothes before going home.
➢ We don’t go into the gift shops or cafeterias at the locations so the children do not need any cash.
➢ Please leave all valuables at home.
